Job Overview
Kaiser is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Professional to join our team in providing diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing diagnostic radiological procedures, utilizing diagnostic radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images for accurate diagnoses.
- Utilizing skills and abilities required for age of patient served, including routine, emergent, portable, surgical and fluoroscopic examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Image processing and understanding the current RIS and PACS system to ensure efficient workflow and data management.
- Working under the supervision of a radiologist on an as needed basis and collaborating with radiologists to perform film Quality Assurance, exam clarification, and other related tasks.
- Performing ECGs as required and participating in an on-call or standby schedule as needed.
- Providing excellent patient care and registration services, while also maintaining accurate records and files.
- Restocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and performing other duties as assigned to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) is required. A Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) OR Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) certification is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire and Radiologic Technologist Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists at hire.
- Demonstrated customer-focused service skills, ability to use and apply excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficient knowledge of radiology equipment and exams to perform fluoroscopy, DXA, surgery, portable and routine radiographic exams.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, and judgment are essential.
- Adaptability, following Policies and Procedures, flexibility, and proficiency in technical skills, initiative, communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, and organizational relations are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience performing general radiographic exams using digital equipment within the last three years.
- Experience with McKesson PACS and EPIC electronic medical records system.
- An Associate degree in Radiologic Science or a related field is preferred.
