Key Responsibilities:
- Performing routine, emergent, portable, and surgical examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Communicating effectively with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient results and develop treatment plans.
- Assisting patients during exams, transporting them as needed, and providing emotional support during testing.
- Maintaining accurate records of patient data, including examination results and test scores.
- Participating in quality assurance functions to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A minimum two (2) year AMA-approved program in ultrasound technology and certification from a recognized accrediting body.
- Two years of experience working in an ultrasound or echocardiography lab, preferably in a hospital setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
