What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chiropractic Assistant/Receptionist position at Kaizen Health and Wellness?
Chiropractic office located in Highland Indiana is seeking a very energetic, personable and detail oriented individual for front counter and Chiropractic assistant position. Must have some experience as a receptionist, or in a receptionist type of position. The ideal candidate will have a very upbeat and friendly personality, and be able to multi-task in a busy clinic. Job duties will include but are not limited to:
- Greeting patients coming into the clinic
- Answering all phone calls in a friendly, courteous and professional way
- Assembling the day chart for the doctor
- Taking patients back to therapy and treatment rooms
- Collecting co-pays and payments from patients
- Assisting the therapist with patient therapies when busy
- Posting Charges and payments for the day
- Sending claims out electronically at the end of the day
- Checking for EFT's from our system
- Keeping the front counter always neat and orderly
- Being able to function very well even at busy times of the clinic
- Preparing deposit and stat sheet for doctor at end of the day
- Being able to work very well in a team setting
- During down times of the clinic, job duties will include
- Verifying patient insurance coverage
- Contacting insurance companies on overdue payments
- Patient appointment reminder calls
- Preparing and sending out patient statements
- Contacting patients with balances on there accounts
- Ordering clinic supplies
- Contacting other providers for results of lab and radiology exams
- Various clerical duties such as sending out clinic bills
- Sending out clinic correspondence
We use the E-Z Bis computer system, so a background in that or another Chiropractic system will be extremely helpful. During up time this IS NOT a sit down and greet patients job! We're up and down, assisting and doing what it takes to make it a great experience for our patients. All drama and trauma stays at the door when you enter the clinic because we are there to serve our patients. We are looking for someone who can learn quickly and can work well without constant supervision. An interest in health and natural wellness is also beneficial.
