What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-op/PACU RN position at Kaizen Surgery Center?
Brand new orthopedic ambulatory surgery center is seeking experienced Pre-Op / PACU RNs. The Pre-Op / PACU RN will coordinate and provide patient care to both adult and pediatric patients in accordance to established and accepted standards of care, policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and accepted accreditation standards. The Pre-Op / PACU RN will promote a positive reflection of the center to physicians, patients, and visitors.
Primary responsibilities of the Pre-Op / PACU RN include:
- Responsible for patient admission and pre-operative care including holistic preparation for surgery considering all patient needs
- Perform pre-admission phone calls to patients
- Coordinate pre-operative lab work required for individual patients and document/report pertinent results
- Responsible for the post-operative care and stabilization of patients including holistic preparation for return to the home environment considering all needs
- Safe discharge of the patient by providing holistic and thorough discharge education.
The Pre-Op / PACU RN must have a minimum of two years’ experience in the perioperative setting, an active and unrestricted RN license in the state of California, and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. The successful candidate must have the ability to work independently as well as function within a team, as well as the abilities to assess patient needs, determine priorities, plan and direct pre/post-operative care of the patient, present good public relation skills, and handle stress.

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
