As a Business Development Representative at Kakivik Asset Management, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that marketing efforts align with company objectives. You will also assist in preparing RFP responses and proposal presentations, while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. This includes conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and developing strategies for expanding Kakivik's customer base and market presence.

This position will be responsible for driving Kakivik's Mission, Vision, and Values, a crucial part of the strategic plan to drive success. Kakivik Asset Management leads the industry in Safety, Innovation, and Excellence. Kakivik's mission is to provide quality-driven, cost-effective inspection and asset management services to support resource development companies.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Build integrity, trust, and strong relationships with clients, employees, and stakeholders.
  • Identify new business opportunities and work towards expanding Kakivik's market presence.
  • Coordinate with the management team to create, package, and present RFP responses and proposals.
  • Assist in identifying client business needs and develop strategic marketing approaches.
  • Participate in strategic planning, performance management, and budget preparation.
  • Submit detailed business information for proposals and marketing presentations.
  • Assist in preparing quotations for clients and ensuring they align with business needs.
  • Participate in industry professional organizations and network to develop new business opportunities.
  • Keep the organization informed of competitor developments and trends.
  • Lead a culture of injury-free operations and ensure HSE is a top priority.
  • Manage multiple projects with minimal supervision while maintaining strong organizational skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in desktop publishing and written communication.
  • Strong understanding of Integrity Management, NDE Inspection, Hazardous Materials Handling, Spill Response, Specialty Coatings, and general oilfield/industrial services.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in pricing and proposal models.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Business Development, Sales, or Marketing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge in the oil and gas industry.

Work involves continuous use of a computer and may require sitting for extended periods. Overtime may be required.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee's ability to perform to the job standard. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 20 pounds for 20 feet. Shoveling up to 20 lbs. Frequent walking and standing. Occasional keyboard use, sitting, bending, twisting, and reaching.
  • HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
  • VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
  • LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift 20 pounds from floor to waist, 20 pounds from waist level to shoulder height and carry 20 pounds for 20 feet.
  • RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurements will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
