Kalahari Resorts Conventions delivers a beyond expectations waterpark resort and conference experience all under one roof. The authentically African-inspired resort is home to America's largest indoor waterparks and features well-appointed guest rooms, full-service Spa Kalahari, a fun-filled family entertainment center, on-site signature restaurants, unique retail shops and a state-of-the-art convention center.
We are inviting you to apply for our open Waterpark Operations Manager position. In this role, you will be accountable for the administration, operation, and direct management necessary to achieve stated objectives in guest / associate safety, sanitation / cleanliness, equipment safety / repairs, sales / profitability, costs, employee retention, and guest service satisfaction of all Resort venues located in the indoor and outdoor waterpark.
To perform well in the position, you :
- Must be able to speak and understand English.
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by guests, associates, supervisors, department heads and senior management.
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
- Make independent decisions while maintaining strong ethical standards consistent with company policy, rules, and the ability to maintain confidential information.
- Would be well-organized and ability to lead and direct people.
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment that is constantly changing.
- Have great physical endurance.
- Have computer skills such as Word and Excel are required.
- Work Environment
- This job operates in an active and loud environment. Frequent changes in the environment temperature. Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions.
