Beverage Manager

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions delivers a waterpark resort and conference experience all under one roof. The authentically African-inspired resort is home to America’s largest indoor waterparks and features well-appointed guest rooms, full-service Spa Kalahari, a fun-filled family entertainment center, on-site signature restaurants, unique retail shops and a state-of-the-art convention center. 

We are inviting you to apply for our Beverage Manager position. In this position, you will work to achieve beverage sales volume and operating profit objectives across the resort.  The main function of this role is to facilitate sales and up-sales, train, assist and schedule staff, while improving guest satisfaction.  

With this position, we do require a background of (a): 

• Extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, fine dining, concessions, and culinary a must both in service skills and preparation of food and beverage in a variety of venues. 

• Experience in building craft cocktails and operating drink machines. 

• A valid driver’s license/state issued I.D. is required and you must be at least 21 years of age.   

• State or Local Law may require a certificate upon completion of an alcohol awareness/safety class as well as state-certified proper food handling certification. 

• Minimum 5 years beverage sales management experience and food service experience required; preferably in a large hotel (over 500 rooms) or successful chain/brand of food and beverage establishments, i.e., restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues. 

• Strong computer skills, particularly in relation to analyzing sales data, are helpful. 

• Word and Excel knowledge is required.
