JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing a positive guest experience that exceeds expectations through effective and efficient retail operations.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
LICENSE/PERMITS REQUIRED: None required.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Basic business administration and general knowledge of principles and practices of a retail environment preferred.
KNOWLEDGE OF COMPUTER HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE:
Micros System, computer knowledge and other office equipment knowledge preferred.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Experience in retail, customer service or sales environment preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possible heavy inventory workloads; exerting up to 40 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Maintain a high-energy level to be able to stand on your feet throughout the day on the retail/sales floor.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
Must be able to approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary with patience and adaptability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
Greet customers and ascertain their wants/needs.
Open and close Micros system.
Perform tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits.
Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges and security practices.
Computer sales prices, total purchases and receive and process cash or credit payments and room charges.
Maintain records related to sales.
Watch for and recognize safety risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situations.
Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires, providing up-selling opportunities when appropriate.
Answer questions regarding the store, resort, and merchandise.
Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers.
Ticket, prepare, price, and maintain merchandise.
Clean shelves, counters, tables, and windows as needed.
Exchange merchandise for customers and accept returns.
Bag or package purchases.
Inventory stock and transfer new stock to stores.
Participate actively in taking monthly inventory.
Able to transfer product store-to-store or process damage out product (w/correct forms).
