What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concessions Manager position at KALAHARI RESORTS & CONVENTIONS?
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions delivers a beyond expectations waterpark resort and conference experience all under one roof. The authentically African inspired resort is home to America’s largest indoor waterparks and features well-appointed guest rooms, full-service Spa Kalahari, a fun-filled family entertainment center, on-site signature restaurants, unique retail shops and a state-of-the-art convention center.
We are inviting you to apply for the open Concessions Manager role. In this hands-on position, you will oversee the waterpark concessions operations, planning, organizing, training& leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service/satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation of the concession’s dining/kitchen area.
Requirements:
- 4-5 years’ experience in high- volume restaurants, bars, banquet kitchen, or quick service food management is required.
- General food and beverage knowledge involving at least 3 years of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management positions in a hotel, resort, or fast-food management setting is preferred. Prior restaurant or fast-food restaurant experience and supervisory experience of staff is a must. It is preferred that the person has at least 2 years of directly related experience.
- Prior experience with P&L accountability and/or managed food service experience with a proven ability to successfully control food costs is needed.
- Knowledge of state and local food safety regulations, with valid ServSafe Certificate or ability to quickly gain certification.
Highly sought after, but not required:
- Bilingual (Spanish).
- Previous work for a family-owned company.
