Security Officer for Resort Site
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Security Officer to oversee the site and safety of individuals, equipment, and property during non-operating hours. In this position, you'll be responsible for providing a secure environment through monitoring entry points, patrolling the site for damage or unauthorized activity, and responding to emergency incidents.
Starting Rate: $18.00 an hour
Hours of Operation:
We are seeking multiple candidates to oversee the Resort Site during non-construction hours, this includes openings for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift Monday - Sunday.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and securance of a safe environment.
- Respond to emergency incidents by administering basic first aid or employing knowledge of emergency procedures and assist as needed.
- Gathering relevant information and maintaining an open flow of communication with internal personnel.
- Aid in resolving conflicts, complaints, or grievances to a resolution that is consistent with Kalahari Standards for safety, while maintaining a professional rapport.
- Fully comprehend and be able to operate all relevant aspects of the security computer systems, cameras, and other office equipment.
- Be able to work with and assist local law enforcement and safety personnel.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous law enforcement/security experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to successfully complete mandated security / first aid training.
- Commitment to creating and establishing a safe environment.
- Acting in sound judgement and effective in handling problems in the workplaces, including anticipating, preventing, and identifying problematic situations.
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity while under pressure and effectively assist internal and external guests with tact and patience.
