Salary: $2,155 - $2,500 Depending On Verifiable Relevant Experience
*Season will include summer camp duties
DESCRIPTION:
Provides instruction to students in the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the sport
Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises
Assesses students' skills, monitors students during competition and practice
Provides determining game strategy
Follows established procedures in the event of an injury
Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards students, officials and spectators
Supervises and maintains the equipment room in orderly condition and assumes responsibility for its security
Distributes and collects equipment, supplies and uniforms to students as directed by the head coach
Maintains a safe environment and facilities for student athletes at all times
Participates in special activities to include parent’s night, banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies
Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records
Models non discriminatory practices in all activities
Must complete SafeSchools training prior to the beginning of the sport's season
Ensure that all student-athletes are fully cleared in accordance with school policies, including academic performance, attendance, and behavior standards, prior to participating in games/meets/performances/matches.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma or GED
Per WIAA - minimum age for head coach is 21 years of age, assistant coach is 19 years of age
Previous Coaching experience preferred
Reasoning ability

Skills in reading, understanding and following safety rules and regulations.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with students and staff.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of District requirements and Board policies
Ability to work independently and to communicate proactively
