What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Instructor Spanish position at Kalamazoo College?
The Department of Spanish Language and Literature at Kalamazoo College seeks a limited-term instructor of Spanish with experience teaching college-level language courses and an interest in teaching in a liberal arts college. The instructor will not create the course. A syllabus and a weekly lab program will be provided. The course is part of a multi-section offering; thus, the hired instructor will work under the guidance of and in collaboration with Spanish faculty members to ensure uniformity and consistency across sections. In addition, the instructor will work with a Spanish Teaching Assistant (TA), usually a visiting international or degree-seeking student, to coordinate the interactive Spanish labs, taught by TAs on Tuesdays/Thursdays.This is a temporary, part-time, non-benefits position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US.

- MA in Spanish or related field and experience teaching Spanish language courses at the college level.
- Near-native proficiency in Spanish.
