WHAT THIS PHARMACEUTICAL ROLE ENTAILS
As a full- or part-time Level One Pharmacy Tech, you start your day by preparing prescriptions under the direction of a pharmacist. Carefully measuring, counting, and labeling medications, you ensure compliance with industry regulations. You'll:
- Select and package medications accurately based on prescription orders.
- Fill unit dose cards and compliance packaging.
- Label bulk items, liquids, insulin, and inhalers with precision.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and assist in other departments as needed.
Your work ensures that patients can stay in their homes, improving their quality of life in a meaningful way!
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU AS A LEVEL ONE PHARMACY TECH
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensure in the State of Michigan as a pharmacy technician or eligibility for a pharmacy technician program
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, with knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with basic computer programs and pharmacy software
Preferred: A strong understanding of basic algebraic principles.
