What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Receptionists position at Kalamazoo RESA?
The Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency (KRESA) is a critical part of Michigan’s education system serving the Greater Kalamazoo region and provides specialized services to schools and communities and optimizes resources by centralizing innovative programs and services. We partner with school districts and the broader community to offer essential programs including early childhood education, special education, career learning, and educator development, ensuring that learners of all ages receive the support they need.
We are currently seeking (2) Part-Time Receptionists at the Woodsedge Learning Center in Portage, Michigan.
The essential responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Provide receptionist duties for the front desk of site or program
- Handles questions from the public and refers to appropriate program or person
- Process incoming mail
- Schedules conference rooms for programs to be held at Kalamazoo RESA buildings; coordinates equipment, refreshments, registration, and other necessary activities/needs
- Composes, or transcribes from rough draft; correspondence, bulletins, reports and other material
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Other duties as assigned
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months’ related experience and/or training. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and experience in customer service. Experience as a school receptionist preferred.
This is an 11-month calendar position in job grade 12 with an hourly rate of pay between $16.50 and $24.15. Hours vary from 15-35 M-F 7:30-3:30 (schedule to be worked out between 2 receptionists)
