What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Drafter/Designer position at Kalb Corporation?
The Cad Drafter/Designer position shall be an integral member of the company team whose duties shall generally be described as part design and utilizing SolidWorks software to create engineered solution. Specifically, the duties of the Part/Product Designer are listed below with other duties assigned as needed.
- Site visits, as needed, to gather measurements and data for design of new parts.
- Communication with customer via personal visit, phone, and email regarding all phases of part design. Communicate with sales the project status.
- Use customer supplied electronic files (as available) to design parts.
- Maintain an accurate and accessible part library and part number file.
- Use scanner to scan new equipment for new designs
- Follow established departmental policies, procedures, objectives as well as continuous quality objectives.
Job may also require:
- Perform quality inspection of inbound parts per drawing.
- Verify quantity of received parts matches supplier packing list.
- Segregate any non-conforming goods and notify manager of non-conformance
- Pack shipments according to paperwork provided and customer requirements (box labels, mixed load labels, pallet labels, and other customer required documents)
- Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, and continuous quality objectives. Assist in maintenance of clean and safe work environment.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
