Job Description
The Director of Pharmacy Informatics and Applications is responsible for comprehensive management of the application portfolio that supports system pharmacy operations for a fully-integrated Kaleida Health, including affiliates. This position will act as the primary liaison with Pharmacy, Medical Staff, and Nursing Staff on pharmacy-related initiatives and IT requirements. The Director will also oversee various departmental systems that support patient care, ensuring alignment with Pharmacy operations and organizational goals and strategies.
Education And Credentials
Responsibilities
Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required. Master's degree in leadership (e.g. MBA, MHA, MPH) or PGY2 Administrative Pharmacy Residency preferred. Advanced Degree in information systems (e.g. MSIS, MBA with IS concentration, MIT, Ph.D. in Information Systems) preferred. Pharmacist licensure required upon hire. Board Certified Pharmacy Specialist preferred. Leadership or Management Certification(s) preferred.

Other information:
7 years of experience in Working with healthcare information systems and pharmacy technologies (e.g. automated dispensing cabinets, IV room workflow systems, medication inventory management systems, electronic medical records, etc.) required. 2 years of experience in Management or team leadership preferred. 1 year of experience PGY1 Pharmacy Residency (or equivalent combination of education and experience) preferred. 1 year of experience in health-system pharmacy practice preferred.
