Kaleidoscope Family Solutions (KFS) is seeking dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in the Sussex County area to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.
Our ideal candidates are motivated individuals who want to help others thrive and become active members of their community. This is a part-time position, with flexible hours available (typically 4-hour shifts, Monday to Friday between 8 AM - 5 PM), and no weekends required. You will be compensated weekly, with pay up to $18/hour depending on experience.

Summary of Responsibilities
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a key role in supporting individuals to achieve their goals and engage more fully in their communities. Your responsibilities may vary depending on individual client needs, but may include:
Community Engagement: Assist clients in identifying and participating in local community and volunteer activities to increase independent living.
Support Systems: Help clients build supportive relationships within their community (e.g., connecting with local resources, businesses, public transport, etc.).
Life Skills Coaching: Teach valuable skills such as money management, grocery shopping, maintaining a household, and more.
Client Goal Development: Collaborate with clients and families to set and achieve personalized goals.
Documentation: Complete progress notes after each shift to track client progress.
Required Experience & Education
Compassion & Commitment: Must have a strong desire to help others and make a difference in their lives.
Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
Driver’s License & Insurance: Must have a valid driver's license and current insurance.
Background Check & Drug Screen: Successful completion of a background check and drug screen required.
Vehicle: Must be willing to drive clients in your personal vehicle throughout the community.
Organizational & Communication Skills: Strong ability to stay organized, communicate effectively, and maintain positive relationships.
Training: Must complete safety, CPR/First Aid, and pre-service orientation training.
