Job Summary
As a Shipping & Receiving Worker at Kalera, you will play a crucial role in the logistics operations, ensuring the accurate and timely handling of shipments and inventory. You will manage incoming and outgoing deliveries while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping Duties:
· Accurately prepare and package orders for shipment according to customer requirements.
· Ensure shipments are correctly labeled and documented for transport.
· Load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring products are handled with care to maintain quality and integrity.
· Coordinate with logistics teams to meet shipping deadlines and resolve discrepancies.
Receiving Duties:
· Inspect and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.
· Record and update inventory levels in the system upon receipt of goods.
· Organize and store products and materials in designated areas while adhering to food safety and storage guidelines.
General Duties:
· Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and shipping area.
· Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment as needed.
· Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with inventory control tasks.
· Follow all company policies and food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent is required.
· Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Basic computer skills for inventory and shipping documentation.
· Ability to operate or willingness to be trained on equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
· Ability to read, write, and comprehend safety and work instructions written in English
· Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
· Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
