Primary Purpose: Perform a variety of dental assisting duties as a trainee to promote quality dental care. |

Essential Duties: Assists the dentist in the administration of treatment at the chair side as required or directed by the dentist and hygienist. Greets patients, pre-screens and seats patients in treatment room. Chairside patient education and instruction. Maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control policies and procedures. Disinfect and sterilize instruments Facilitates referrals Review the health history and ensures completion of required forms. Familiarize the patient with the aspects of their dental visit Stock treatment rooms and maintain clinical supply inventory. Review daily schedule to set up appropriate trays, labs and instruments. Pour models, take impressions, mange lab cases Takes x-rays and utilizes x-ray software Documents and charts in Dentrix and creates patient appointments Facilitates language translation for patients. Provides preventive maintenance of dental equipment Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required. |
