What You’ll Do:

As our HR Systems Analyst, you'll play a key role in optimizing our HR operations through effective systems management. You will be responsible for:

  • HR Systems Management & Administration: Administering and maintaining multiple HR systems (HCM, ATS, LMS, performance management platforms), including user access, integration, configuration, and upgrades.
  • Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering: Partnering with HR teams to identify business needs, analyzing requirements, and translating them into detailed system specifications.
  • System Evaluation & Strategic Alignment: Evaluating HR systems, recommending enhancements, and providing data-driven solutions to support HR strategic initiatives.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Executing system testing, participating in upgrades, leading user acceptance testing, and assessing systems for UI improvements and accessibility.
  • Data Management & Reporting: Designing and generating reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making and provide actionable business insights to HR leadership.
  • Training & Documentation: Delivering training to HR staff and managers on system functionality and developing comprehensive system documentation.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensuring HR systems comply with data privacy regulations, conducting security audits, and implementing access controls.


What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in systems administration, with HR systems experience preferred.
  • Experience consulting with stakeholders to identify business and process needs.
  • A strong understanding of HR programs, processes, and information management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain HR policies and processes.
  • Experience with data analysis and report creation.
  • Proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Familiarity with business process modeling and workflow design.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.

Job Summary:

The HR Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting HR programs, processes, and projects through the maintenance and monitoring of Human Resources information systems. This role ensures data integrity, develops and maintains consistent HR policies and processes, and provides support to stakeholders who utilize HR information. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with comprehensive HR knowledge to drive efficiency and improve HR service delivery across the organization. Responsibilities include consulting with HR to identify business and process needs, communicating requirements to Information Technology teams, testing changes as part of go-live projects, and creating supporting documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

HR Systems Management & Administration:

  • Administer multiple HR systems (HCM, ATS, LMS, performance management platforms) including user access management, integration oversight, configuration, and upgrade implementation.
  • Facilitate HR programs, processes, and projects through strategic information system management.
  • Coordinate with vendors and IT to ensure proper integration between HR systems and internal/external platforms.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all HR systems.
  • Design and implement robust data validation rules and controls.
  • Establish and maintain automated data quality monitoring protocols.
  • Maintain current knowledge of emerging HR technologies and their potential business applications.
  • Research and recommend appropriate automation tools aligned with business needs.
  • Architect and implement automated workflows to optimize HR processes.
  • Identify opportunities to transform manual processes through automation.

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:

  • Consult with HR teams to identify business and process needs for effective HR information management and sharing.
  • Analyze, document, and interpret business requirements from HR stakeholders.
  • Transform business needs into detailed system specifications and functional requirements.
  • Perform gap analysis between current and desired future state processes.
  • Develop comprehensive process flows, use cases, and user stories for system enhancements.
  • Articulate technical requirements effectively to Information Technology teams.

System Evaluation & Strategic Alignment:

  • Evaluate HR systems' alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Formulate strategic recommendations for system enhancements.
  • Provide data-driven solutions to support HR strategic initiatives.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

  • Execute system testing during implementation phases and go-live projects.
  • Participate in comprehensive testing during system upgrades and implementations.
  • Lead end-to-end user acceptance testing (UAT) for new features and system changes.
  • Assess HR systems for UI improvements and accessibility compliance.

Data Management & Reporting:

  • Design and generate comprehensive reports from HR systems to support data-driven decision making.
  • Develop executive-level dashboards that transform HR data into actionable business insights.
  • Create customized reporting solutions to support strategic HR leadership decisions.

Training & Documentation:

  • Deliver training to HR staff and managers on system functionality and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain detailed system documentation.

Compliance & Security:

  • Conduct systematic security audits according to organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with IT security to implement appropriate access controls and safeguards.
  • Ensure all systems maintain compliance with relevant data privacy regulations and policies.
  • Ensure control and protection of company assets.

  • All KTOI, KTEA and NQRC policies, procedures and internal controls
  • NIGC Regulations
  • Other relevant governance requirements (PCI DSS, HIPAA, etc.)

General Expectations:

  • Provide direction, knowledge, and support to other team members when needed.
  • Be responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record.
  • Be available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for business levels.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 3 years of experience in systems administration required, with HR Systems experience preferred.
  • Experience consulting with stakeholders to identify business and process needs.
  • A strong understanding of HR programs, processes, and information management.

Skills and Abilities:

  • HRIP, SHRM-CP, PHR, or related HR certification.
  • Experience supporting HR programs and initiatives through systems implementation.
  • Experience with go-live projects and system testing methodologies.
  • Experience with API integrations and HR system implementation projects.
  • Knowledge of change management principles.
  • Experience with workflow automation and process improvement.
  • Background in HR analytics or people analytics.
  • Experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience leading system implementation projects.
  • Experience creating wireframes or mockups for system interfaces.
  • Experience with data analysis and report creation.
  • Proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Familiarity with business process modeling and workflow design.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

  • Tribal license from the Kalispel Tribal Gaming Agency.

Physical and Sensory Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of office supplies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and in writing.

Work Environment:

  • Professional office environment.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to tobacco smoke, moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.

Travel Requirements:

  • Local travel is occasionally required.
  • Travel outside of the state is infrequently required, typical travel time is generally less than a week.
