Summary of Functions:
Controls traffic for guests on Northern Quest Resort & Casino property by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- State of Washington Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations and Northern Quest Resort & Casino Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain four star/four diamond service standards.
  • Adhere to all Hotel and Casino Policies.
  • Help move traffic on Northern Quest Resort & Casino property as directed by the Guest Service Manager.
  • Follow staging guidelines to move traffic to areas of available parking.
  • Assist guests in parking and give directions as needed.
  • Call for shuttle as needed to transport guests to the casino or hotel entrances.
  • Operate a radio or similar device to communicate with supervisors and fellow team members.
  • Fulfill any reasonable work requested by a Manager or Supervisor.
  • Will at times be required to assist the Valet, Transportation and Guest services department as needed.
  • Use proper interpersonal skills when dealing with customers and employees.
  • Ensure guest confidentiality standards are followed.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record.
  • Ensure control/protection of company assets.
  • May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings.
  • Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed

    Additional Responsibilities:
    Knowledge of desktop publishing and graphics software.
    Use Windows XP, Excel, Word and other computer software.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Experience in a four star/four diamond hotel preferred.
  • Ability to drive both automatic and manual shift vehicles.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department head and employees.
  • Preferred Knowledge of a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Tribal Gaming License.
  • Valid State Driver’s License (Must be in possession while operating guest or tribal vehicles).
  • Must be able to be insured by the company insurance carrier.
  • Pass a NQC traffic flagging school. (Required)

  • Occasionally requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally.
  • Occasionally requires stooping which entails the use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Infrequently requires crouching.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to tobacco smoke, moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The worker is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes, and is occasionally subject to outside environmental conditions and to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
