Summary of Functions
Responsible for the coordination of all patients and insurance coding, billing, and credentialing for the Kalispel Tribe of Indians Camas Paths Behavioral Health, Medical and Dental Departments by performing the following duties :
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for coding, billing, and credentialing for Camas Path’s Medical division which includes medical, physical therapy, massage therapy, and chiropractor services.
- Responsible for coding, billing, and credentialing for Camas Path’s Dental division.
- Responsible for coding, billing, and credentialing for Camas Path’s Behavioral Health division which includes Substance use, Mental Health and EAP services.
- Reviews ICD-10 / CPT codes on all claims in preparation for processing electronic claims.
- Verifies patient’s insurance information either through the medical billing system or other online resources.
- Responsible for HIPPA compliance procedures.
- Adhere to all applicable tribal, federal, or state privacy laws and regulations, including but not limited HIPPA and 42 CFR Part 2
- Oversight and follow up with Camas Path’s accounts receivable (AR) balances.
- Provide regular status updates to the CFO on billing and collection efforts of the Camas Path AR balances.
- Responsible for updating billing rates for services provided
- Responsible for updating the sliding fee scale for services on an annual basis
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record.
