Summary of Function
Develop and implement out-of-school programs for students 6th through 12th grade. Act as liaison between student-school-parents. Communicate with all parties to coordinate services to reach goals of Camas. Two positions; one that coordinates grades 6-8, and one that coordinates grades 9-12.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Understands, upholds, and utilizes policies / procedures of the program.
- Manage out-of-school programs in the Camas Learning Center.
- Assist students with homework or classwork assignments.
- Work through scheduled programs with the students.
- Provide rides to and from the Learning Center and home.
- Provide positive social interaction for students in the center.
- Schedule weekly and monthly incentive outings.
- During the summer months will oversee the Recreational Leadership Program.
- Supervise evening and weekend activities as required.
- Create strategies to improve students’ academic performance.
- Monitor Learning Center computer use and updates.
- Maintains daily contact with teachers and Learning Center staff.
- Communicate with Supervisor, staff, and school regarding Center concerns.
- Must be willing to gain certification and participate in outdoor activities such as but not limited to rock climbing, rafting, water safety, etc.
