What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Shift LPN/RN position at Kalispell Rehab and Nursing?
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care needs
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems
- Instruct and educate patients and families on proper healthcare procedures and self-care techniques
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Skills:
- Working with people with developmental disabilities
- Sonography skills for diagnostic imaging procedures
- Experience in pediatrics for providing specialized care to children of all ages
- Knowledge of senior care practices and ability to provide compassionate care to elderly patients
- Proficiency in ostomy care for patients with surgical openings for waste elimination
- Familiarity with mammography procedures for breast cancer screening and diagnosis
- Expertise in IV infusion techniques for administering fluids and medications intravenously
- Competence in IV insertion for establishing intravenous access in patients
- Experience in cardiac catheterization procedures for diagnosing and treating heart conditions
- Proficient in venipuncture techniques for drawing blood samples from patients
