- Sign-On Bonus
- $26- $35 per hour

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for providing maintenance and repair service to all brands of Container handling equipment at customer locations, with a focus on hydraulic, mechanical and electrical diagnosis and repair.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Providing timely diagnosis and repair of the Kalmar product lines located in the field at customer sites
- Complete regular preventative maintenance as scheduled
- Ability to use hand, air and electric hand tools; operate forklifts, small cranes and mechanical hoists as needed
- Conduct product training for the customer and dealer technicians to ensure competency
- Evaluate and assist with warranty claims
- Work with Product Engineering to develop solutions to operational problems in the field
- Assist personnel in the field with documentation, report of labor, work orders, and inspections
- Achieve a high level of customer satisfaction
- Communicate with customers regarding the diagnosis and repair problems experienced in the field
Education
- Technical Certification, preferably in mechanical/electrical or related field; highly preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in heavy industrial equipment mechanical & electrical trouble-shooting and equipment repairs including motors, controls, PLC electronic control, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, structural and engine systems.
- Mi Jack, Taylor and/or Remprex maintenance experience highly preferred
- Must be able to read blue prints and schematic drawings
- Must feel comfortable and able to work safely at elevated heights, including several stories above the ground
- Should possess a technical aptitude for heavy equipment ; some knowledge of engineering is a plus
- Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Candidates must have the ability to communicate with individuals and/or groups consisting of dealer representatives, customers (end-users) and other technicians or service personnel
- Must demonstrate strong work ethic, dependability and initiative
- Candidates must have a Valid Driver’s License and be able to obtain a TWIC card.
