Purpose of the position
Production Planner’s main responsibility is to carry out detailed production planning (to decide which machines are released to production on daily/weekly basis and confirm BOM in up to date) and initiate/support any actions required to execute detailed production plan, in co-operation with other MAU functions
Main tasks and responsibilities
Supervision of subordinates, especially in the area of compliance with occupational health and safety rules
Creation, implementation, maintenance and application of risk assessments and work instructions
Taking proactive measures to ensure a safe working environment
Supervision over the timely performance of OHS-related tasks in the department
Leadership
Promoting, implementing and following key behaviours in the factory
Building a culture of continuous improvement (LEAN) and celebrating successes
Actively using available tools (PDP, Compass, leadership coaching, Leadership Style psychometric tools, Gallup etc.)
Building a culture based on the behaviours present in the Kalmar factory in relation to every important aspect of the department
Quality
Execution of the Control Plan and quality control assurance
Training of personnel in terms of technical and quality assurance
Active cooperation with the quality assurance department in the CAPA process and ensuring implementation ("first attempt correct")
Supervision and care of equipment and tools (reporting failures)
Ensuring reporting of non-conformities and taking corrective actions
Compliance with established standards, processes, procedures and instructions
Striving for a "0 defects" policy (First Time Yield)
Ensuring timely and qualitative customer service in internal processes
Ensuring the final quality of machines in line with customer expectations
Supervision over the maintenance of quality assurance system documentation and records
Active support for the implementation of IMS (Integrated Management System)
Cost
Cost efficiency (hourly rate, employment management)
Production and investment budget implementation (budgetary discipline)
Improvement of productivity in line with established goals
CI (continuous improvement), flow and visualization (waste elimination, KAIZEN, 5S, VSM, layout, rhythm implementation)
Analysis of time losses and implementation of corrective/preventive actions
Delivery
Implementation of the production plan in line with customer expectations
Ensuring production capacity (in line with the agreed plant capacity)
Production in line with the sales and operational plan (IBP)
Lean
Cultivating LEAN culture and ensuring LEAN competence in the department: Problem solving, 5S, Kaizen, Gemba, VSM, Waste elimination
Developing and implementing the use of LEAN tools in the daily work of the team
Following the guidelines of the Project Management Office (PMO)
Environment
Recommending environmental regulations/processes in the factory and implementing improvements in this area
Tracking, supporting and improving environmental regulations and processes
Preventing the occurrence of environmental hazards and responding to environmental failures and hazards
Actively supporting all environmental aspects, e.g. waste elimination, energy saving, efficient use of energy and resources

- Care for a high standard of work and professional approach to tasks
- Support of the planners team in solving everyday problems
- Care for good organization of work and order in the workplace (5S)
- Controlling ERP system parameter settings
- Analysis of the quality of forecasts and orders received from customers
- Preparation of analyzes and reports commissioned by the supervisor
- Compliance with system procedures and instructions
- Continuous improvement of own qualifications and work methods

What you’ll need to succeed
- At least 3 years of experience in a management position in the production/operations department
- 5 years of experience in a management position in a production/operations department in a large company
- Experience in the automotive industry
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001
- Knowledge of Lean Management tools Computer skills (Google / MS Office package)
- Communicative English
