What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warranty Administrator position at Kalmar?

Purpose of the position
The Primary responsibility of a Warranty Administrator includes but is not limited to:
- Processing warranty claims and credits.
- Creating warranty reports.
- Providing warranty data to the MAU.
- Maintaining dealer information in the warranty system.
- Training dealer personnel on the warranty system.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Review/communicate/process terminal tractor warranty claims
- Review/communicate/process terminal tractor parts warranty claims
- Maintain SAP equipment files
- Cross training of warranty responsibilities for the terminal tractor warranty group
- Provide scheduled and ad hoc warranty reports to immediate supervisor and the terminal tractor product line
- Responsible for the collection and administration of the Pre-Delivery and warranty registration forms.
- Responsible for issuing pre-delivery credits to dealers
- Daily communication between dealers, technicians, and terminal tractor product line personnel as related to warranty issues.
- Responsible for vendor recovery claims and reports.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
- Minimum of two years hands on technical experience with terminal tractors or comparable equipment
- Previous experience with vehicle warranty systems desirable but not required
Competencies:
- In-depth technical knowledge of the terminal tractor or comparable equipment desirable but not required.
- Above average computer skills, including experience using Google products (Gmail, Calendar, Hangouts, Drive, Slides, Sheets, Docs, etc.) and ERP Systems – LN and SAP preferred.
- Basic MS Excel skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills (written and spoken)
- Ability to perform with little supervision
- Highly organized and detailed orientated
- Strong customer service skills
