As a Purchasing Analyst at Kalmbach Feeds Inc., you will play a key role in managing our supply chain. You will be responsible for planning and forecasting ingredient and raw material needs, analyzing stock usage and lead times, and supporting procurement and nutrition in the sourcing of new product suppliers and origins.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and forecast ingredient and raw material needs
- Analyze stock usage and lead times to set minimum and maximum stocking levels
- Support procurement and nutrition in the sourcing of new product suppliers and origins
- Complete market and competitor research and analysis
- Schedule deliveries and monitor receipts to catch and address late loads
- Manage inventories to avoid outages and plant downtime
- Pursue freight savings by creating competition and finding new haulers
- Fulfill customer orders by coordinating direct ship loads
- Solve unique supply chain problems
