What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Control Room Operator position at Kalmbach Feeds Inc?
Objectives:
Kalmbach’s objective for our Control Room Operator is a person who can work hard to learn our automated systems in a way to keep our team members safe, own quality of our superior feeds, and to work hard with other team members to delight our customers.
Duties:
(The following functions are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned or required.)
- Operate our automated pelleting system in a way that prioritizes safety and quality
- To work directly with Kalmbach’s pelleting system to ensure consistent superior feeds are delivered to our customers
- To become subject experts on the pelleting system with detailed knowledge in process flow and preform preventative greasing and adjustments to help keep our systems running efficiently
- To work directly with team members across the company and departments to ensure that all policies and protocols are supported in our operations
- Document daily operations in a manor to support Kalmbach’s document procedures
- Strive to keep correct and accurate inventories of ingredients, parts, and orders.
- Work along side other team members to complete needed tasks to keep our facilities clean and in the best operational order.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
- Evidence of analytical reasoning and mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Preferred knowledge:
- Agriculture (livestock/grain feed) industry experience preferred.
- Knowledge of FSMA’s Qualified Individual requirement and General Food Safety Plans is preferred.
