About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst with a strong background in FP&A to partner closely with the CFO. In this role, you will be responsible for driving actionable insights through in-depth analysis, financial modeling, and strategic forecasting. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of FP&A experience within a large organization (> $500M) and is proficient in Power BI (or similar analytics tools). Your analytical prowess and ability to craft compelling data narratives will be crucial in influencing business decisions and optimizing financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Develop financial models that reveal inefficiencies or waste and identify opportunities for savings.
- Source and analyze data to uncover hidden cost drivers across the business.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses into business performance to pinpoint cost trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Interpret financial results and identify trends and business insights.
- Data Visualization & Storytelling:
- Leverage Power BI to design and implement dynamic dashboards and visualizations.
- Translate financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Create compelling narratives that effectively communicate financial trends and profit-enhancing recommendations.
- Strategic Collaboration:
- Partner with the CFO and cross-functional teams to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Work closely with various departments to gather relevant data and understand operational impacts on financial performance.
- Create robust financial models for scenario planning, capital investments, and business growth strategies.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
- Champion best practices in FP&A, ensuring consistency and reliability in financial planning processes.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) within a large organization (>$500M) known for a robust FP&A process.
- Demonstrated experience in working with advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Power BI or comparable business intelligence tools.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting software.
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Analytical & Communication Skills:
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to create compelling stories with data, transforming complex information into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
