We’re seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal or Contract and Licensing Manager to join our client’s brand management team. This role focuses on supporting the enforcement of intellectual property rights, particularly patents and trademarks, as well as managing agent, supply, and licensing agreements globally. Candidates should possess strong legal research skills, expertise in document preparation, and experience in IP case management.
This position is Hybrid but must be able to be on site near LA 1 day a week
Responsibilities :
Take part in monitoring and addressing potential patent and trademark violations on a global scale to safeguard the client’s IP assets.
Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure the drafting, evaluation, and upkeep of agreements related to agents, sales, supply, and licensing are handled efficiently and accurately.
Perform detailed legal research to assist in litigation, examining infringement cases, relevant jurisdictions, and applicable regulations.
Develop and review essential legal materials, including demand notices, complaints, and court filings.
Create and deliver comprehensive updates to the Director of Brand Management about intellectual property enforcement efforts in different regions.
Maintain and oversee legal documentation to ensure deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
Qualifications :
Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of intellectual property law, particularly patents and trademarks.
Excellent legal research and writing skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in legal research databases and case management software.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in U.S. and international intellectual property law.
Familiarity with litigation procedures and court protocols.
Understanding of patent, trademark, and IP enforcement strategies.
Background in law firms, pharmaceuticals, or related industries.
Strong scientific background or relevant undergraduate degree.
Compensation : $100,000-130,000 plus full benefits
