Job summary:
The maintenance technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure that properties are well-maintained, safe, and functional. This role involves responding to maintenance requests through Breezeway software, conducting routine inspections, and ensuring all maintenance work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Functions:
General Maintenance:
Perform repairs and maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose issues and conduct repairs on various building systems, including appliances, fixtures, and fittings.
Preventative Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections of properties and equipment to identify maintenance needs and prevent potential issues.
Emergency Repairs:
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of guests and property owners.
Collaboration:
Work closely with property managers and other team members to address maintenance needs and improve property conditions.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards.
Inventory Management:
Communicate with supervisor regarding inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Other duties as assigned by your supervisor for effective and efficient operation.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in maintenance-related fields preferred
Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in property management or similar setting
Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbin, and HVAC systems
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to use software for work orders and responding to requests
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Working Conditions:
Work in a variety of settings primarily residential properties, including outdoors and confined spaces
Extended hours may be required
Heavy lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally, regularly lifting 50 pounds
Bending, stooping, reaching, standing and sitting regularly
Use of a ladder and other light maintenance equipment regularly
Use of hand and power tools frequently, use of heavy equipment occasionally

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
