Kalos Services is seeking a highly skilled Construction Field Project Manager to oversee job site operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working directly on job sites, with minimal time spent in an office setting.
This role requires daily interaction with subcontractors, ensuring clear communication, coordination, and adherence to project timelines. The successful candidate will maintain a deep understanding of all aspects of their assigned projects, down to the most intricate details. This is not a traditional administrative or office-based role. Instead, it emphasizes hands-on management in dynamic field environments.
Schedule - This is a day shift position for Monday through Friday, with the need for extended nights and weekend hours as needed.
Compensation - $80,000 to $110,000 annually
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the project, including bid and award, pre-construction, construction, and closeout phases.
- Coordinate and ensure that resources are available and activities move according to a predetermined schedule.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, contracts, and change orders.
- Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams.
- Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project or consult the appropriate resource to assist.
- Use ClickUp effectively to track progress, manage tasks, and ensure transparency across projects.
- Lead by example, working in the trenches when necessary and setting high standards for the team.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and resolve on-site challenges.
- Collaborate with the Estimator and construction teams to plan and execute design-build projects.
- Emphasize accountability, ownership, and results-driven performance in all aspects of project management.
- Support recruitment and onboarding processes to foster clarity and proper training for new hires.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction, plumbing, HVAC or refrigeration industries
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
- Clean criminal history and drug-free and Clean or near clean driving record.
- Knowledge and experience with construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and other construction-related documents, including permitting and takeoffs
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven hands-on experience managing sub-trades and on-site construction operations.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software specifically in ClickUp with the ability to use it independently and train others as needed.
- Strong background in design-build projects and addressing existing building conditions.
- Gritty, detail-oriented mindset with a focus on work over talk.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to ask tough questions and drive results.
- A commitment to fostering a culture of ownership and accountability within the team.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certifications are a plus.
