Overview
The Inn at Blackstone is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for fostering a positive work environment. The Assistant General Manager will also be responsible for training and developing staff, managing budgets, and implementing effective store management practices. Exec housekeeping experience is highly preferred. This position is for someone who is on track to become a general manager. Must be willing to work any shift and weekends. This position sits on the Inn at Blackstone's executive board.
Duties
- Assist the General Manager in daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient store management.
- Drive wireless sales by implementing effective marketing strategies and promotions.
- Lead, train, and develop team members through employee orientation programs and ongoing training initiatives.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring stock is maintained according to market demands.
- Oversee budgeting processes, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Foster a positive team environment by promoting collaboration and open communication among staff.
- Monitor employee performance, providing feedback and coaching to enhance productivity.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Requirements
- Proven experience in store management or as an Assistant Manager in a retail environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of wireless sales processes and market trends is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage budgets effectively while achieving sales goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with both customers and team members.
