As a 1-on-1 Group Leader, you will:
- Provide individualized support for a child with special needs, ensuring they feel safe, included, and engaged.
- Assist with after-school activities such as arts and crafts, games, and educational projects.
- Collaborate with other staff to create a positive and inclusive environment.
- Build meaningful relationships with the student and their family, offering daily updates to parents/guardians.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized space, meeting hygiene standards.
- Monday through Friday, 1:30 or 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
- No evenings or weekends! Hours may vary slightly depending on school and program needs.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience with SPED or RBT is a plus, but full training is provided.
What a Day in the Program Looks Like:
- Welcome your student and help them settle in with a snack.
- Assist with homework or school-related tasks.
- Encourage participation in fun activities like board games, crafts, and outdoor play.
- Communicate with parents or caregivers at pick-up to share the day’s highlights.
- End your day knowing you’ve made a difference!
