Seeking an Assistant Production Supervisor in Kailua, Hawaii!
Position: Assistant Production Supervisor
Position Summary: Manages day-to-day operations of the Production department, ensuring production quality of materials, services and workspace. Provides administrative and maintenance support to production activities, equipment,
inventory supplies and requests. Maintains digital forms and corporate
inventory.
Responsible to: Chief Information Officer
This job is for our Corporate Office in Kailua.
Supervisory Duties & Responsibilities:
- Handle the day-to-day operations of the Production Department including tickets, purchasing, inventory management, prioritizing tickets, taking initiative on various projects and tasks, reporting and general appearance of the department environment.
- Handle various assigned tasks as needed by Management
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Main point of contact for all Production related requests via Ticketing system
- Provides customer expertise in printing, signage, banners and other print material collateral
- Review, print and coordinate distribution of production flyers, posters, banners and other print related materials for Kama‘aina Kids and related programs
- Manage Production Ticketing System including prioritizing and escalating
- Provides maintenance and upkeep of company digital forms and packets used for various departments and programs
- Maintenance of school flyer spreadsheet database pulling reports and mail merges and annual solicitations
- Utilization of various software and online apps to create and maintain both print and digital forms used throughout the organization
- Manages inventory of production supplies (i.e. paper, toner, laminate rolls, blades, etc.)
- Coordinates and schedules maintenance and inventory for all Production related machines and equipment including Ricoh C7210, Duplicator, Wide-Format Printer, Laminating machine, Duplo Cutter, Plokmatic Book Maker and Master Cutter
- Monitor and comply with quality control procedures including ensuring quality before, during and after production process
- Manages and restocks company wear supplies including physical annual and at-will inventory counts using inventory management system
- Improve inter-departmental communication and efficiency
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Possess strong verbal, written, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Experience in organizing, managing and controlling workflow to meet simultaneous deadlines
- Strong customer service
- Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
- Analyze and solve problems independently and with others
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and vendors
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment during peak seasonal work
- Able to gather data, compile information and prepare reports
- Accuracy in reviewing various documents, brochures and flyers for quality assurance
- Proficient in the use of word processing, email, internet, spreadsheet and some graphic software
- Strong background dealing with reproduction, wide format printer and cutting machine equipment
- Basic knowledge of a variety of software programs to maintain operations:
- All Microsoft 365 core apps
- Adobe Creative Suites (primarily InDesign, Acrobat, and Photoshop)
- Command Workstation 5 or higher (optional)
- Windows 10 and higher operating system
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Work performed in warehouse environment with heavy printing equipment
- Medium physical effort necessary. Requires handling of objects weighing up to 55 lbs. for limited time periods
