Purpose
Join our team and be a cornerstone of our growth as we open our newest facility, the San Antonio Collection Center, in March 2025! Kamada Plasma, a proud subsidiary of Kamada Ltd, is seeking a dedicated Assistant Center Manager to join our dynamic team.
The Assistant Center Manager supports the Center Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the plasma center including, but not limited to, administrative, financial, facilities, regulatory, quality control and personnel. The Assistant Center Manager must work collaboratively with all staff, donors, vendors, and customers and cultivate a diverse and dynamic team.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary commensurate with experience, medical, dental and vision coverage, 401k matching, holidays, and PTO. This full-time position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week at the center and is eligible for overtime.
Key Accountabilities
Operations Management
- Strategize, plan, and ensure center operations, donor flow, and donor retention goals are achieved.
- Support in the supervision of all center operations and develop and implement action plans to improve efficiencies, as needed.
- Collaborate with the Center Quality Manager with supporting Gemba Walks, direct observations or processes and deviation/Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA) investigation and completion.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, local, state, and company regulations related to quality of product, employee, and donor safety.
- Engage in the facilitation of any internal or external inspections of the plasma center absent the Center Manager.
- Ability to attract, retain, motivate, and develop a team of diverse individuals.
- Ability to multi- task, prioritize, and communicate with senior management.
- Create an environment where donors are being greeted, welcomed, and ensuring a positive and comfortable experience.
- Maintain a clean work environment, support center maintenance, and ensure that sufficient operating supplies and equipment are readily available.
- Partner with corporate facilities to always ensure center compliance.
- Follow all Safety and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures and ensure that all employees comply with such policies.
- Stay current with federal, state, local and company-specific rules, regulations, and practices.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills and to stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
- Advise Area Staff, Donors, External Vendors and Regulatory Agencies.
- Consult and coordinate regularly with Center Quality Management, Human Resources, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and other departments as necessary.
Employee Development
- Oversee all personnel functions including recruitment, training, development, assignment, disciplinary action, and termination as needed.
- Develop employee talent, through regular meetings, goal check-ins, and development plans.
- Oversee and ensure all employees are accurately trained in technical areas.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly team meetings to ensure deadlines and goals are met.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferred; experience may substitute for a degree.
- Two to three years' experience in a regulated environment, with a preference for plasma collection center experience in a supervisory or managerial role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Cross trained in plasma production procedures to provide support as needed in the production area.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, leadership, organizational and technical skills.
- Disciplined action and execution, ability to drive operational excellence, promote teamwork, and communicate effectively.
- Strong capability to engage, communicate, and work effectively with individuals of varying job levels, geographics locations and dispositions.
- Obtain and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification.
