Each position plays a critical role in the plasma collection process and donor experience, ensuring the highest standards of customer service and quality. Responsibilities include plasma collection, handling, documentation, processing, and storage, all while maintaining a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency. Key Accountabilities

Perform procedures according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements, including donor screening, plasma collection, and product processing.

Greet and prepare donors, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience.

Conduct initial interviews and health assessments to determine donor eligibility.

Verify donor identification, complete necessary paperwork, and accurately record donor information in the electronic database.

Maintain confidentiality and protect donor privacy throughout all aspects of the job.

Collect plasma using apheresis equipment, monitoring donors during the process and addressing any adverse reactions promptly.

Properly label and document collected plasma and samples, ensuring accurate chain of custody.

Follow organizational policies and procedures, including ethical guidelines and professional standards.

Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sanitizing equipment and disposing of biohazardous waste.

Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and ready for use.

Report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals and team members to provide exceptional donor care and support.

Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills and stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.

Adhere to all quality control procedures and assist with audits and inspections as required.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to provide excellent donor care and maintain a positive donor experience.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable working around whole blood, blood plasma, and bio-waste.

Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.

Proficient computer skills for data entry and electronic record management.
