Principal
B. Strong background in Curriculum, Supervision,
Discipline,Team Building, and Technology.
C. Knowledgeable with Computers (word processing,
databases, spreadsheets).
D. Excellent Public Relations Skills.
E. Excellent Organizational Skills.
F. Likes working with Students
G. Able to work under pressure and deadlines
H. Maintain confidentiality.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY T : Board of Trustees
JOB SUMMARY : To use leadership, supervisor, and administrative skills to
promote the educational development of each student.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
A. Supervises the school's educational program.
B. Maintains high standards of student conduct and
enforces the District's discipline policy.
C. Assumes responsibility for the implementation and
observance of all board policies and regulations by
the school's staff and students.
D. Assists in the development, revisions, and
evaluations of the curriculum.
E. Supervises all personnel assigned to the school.
F. Assists in the recruiting, screening, hiring,training,
assigning, and evaluating of the school's personnel.
G. Makes recommendations concerning the school's
staff and instruction.
H. Recommends the removal of a teacher whose work
is unsatisfactory, according to established
procedures.
I. Responsibility for overseeing the scheduling of
students into classes and establishing the schedule
ofclass offerings, and maintaining a balance of
student loads in each class.
J. Assumes responsibility for the attendance, conduct
and health of students.
K. Actively pursue all cases of truancy and excessive
absences and tardies.
EVALUATION :
L. Supervises the maintenance of accurate records on
the progress and attendance of students.
M. Supervises and evaluates the school's extracurricular activities.
N. Assists in the inservice orientation and training of
Teachers.
O. Acts as liaison between the school and the
community, interpreting activities and polices of the
school and encouraging community participation in
school life.
P. Supervises the preparation of all school reports for
the district office.
Q. Assists in the management and preparation of the
school budget.
R. Responsible for all school funds (including Student
Body Funds) which are maintained for their
building and must keep a strict account of these
funds, reviewing and signing all requisitions before
submitting them to the Superintendent's Office.
S. Ability to work with various ethnic groups.
T. Makes arrangements for special conferences
between parents and teachers.
U. Conducts meetings of the staff as necessary for the
proper functioning of the school.
V. Assumes responsibility for the safety and
administration of the school plant.
W. Responsible for all keys issued to personnel in his
buildings. Keys are not to given to anyone for any
reason.
X. Delegates authority to responsible personnel for the
supervision of the school in the absence of the
Principal.
Y. Pursue continuous professional growth, including
membership in professional organizations, reading
professional journals, and seeking additional
education.
Z. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
