Highly regarded law firm seeks to hire an associate with 3-6 years of corporate counseling and / or corporate transactional experience from a good law firm who is interested in working in their pre-eminent entertainment law group in Los Angeles. Prior entertainment industry experience is welcome, but not required.
The primary requirements for the position are a good corporate law background, interest in entertainment work, and strong drafting skills.
The firm’s entertainment law group works on some of the largest and most highest profile entertainment projects in the world on behalf of corporations, but they also represent very high-profile and world famous talent such as A-List actors, producers, writers, and directors that everyone has heard of.
The hired candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of matters including sophisticated transactions representing both buyers and sellers, and in equity financing transactions and possibly fund formation matters.
Expected base salary range is $230-$255k base. This does not include a performance bonus.
The billable hours target is a very reasonable 1750 per year. Associates rarely exceed 2000 hour or come in below 1600.
The firm’s attorneys can work remotely 2 days per week.
