Job Title: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Location: Arlington, VA
Reports to: CIO
Position Overview:
As the CTO, you will lead and manage all aspects of the hospital system’s technology infrastructure, with a primary focus on building and executing scalable IT solutions. We are seeking a technically proficient leader with a deep background in network infrastructure who can drive and lead cloud migrations and integrate cutting-edge technologies to advance the system’s capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy in alignment with the hospital system’s overall business goals and objectives.
- Network Infrastructure: Lead the design, implementation, and management of critical network systems, including expertise with Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, and telecom (on-prem and off-prem).
- Cloud Strategy: Spearhead cloud migration efforts to Azure and AWS, overseeing the transition of hospital systems and services to cloud-based environments.
- Storage & Imaging Solutions: Oversee the management and integration of storage technologies, including Pure Storage and Nutronics Imaging solutions, ensuring optimal performance for the hospital’s data and imaging systems.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with executive leadership to understand business needs and translate them into effective technology solutions that drive operational efficiency and patient care improvements.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance: Ensure the hospital’s IT systems meet healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, and are secure from emerging cyber threats.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and high performance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 15 years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role such as Director of IT, VP of Technology, or similar.
- Strong hands-on technical expertise in network infrastructure management, including Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, and telecom systems (both on-prem and off-prem).
- Experience with cloud technologies, including Azure and AWS, and leading cloud migration projects.
- Experience with Pure Storage and Nutronics Imaging solutions.
- Proven track record in large-scale IT transformations and managing complex technical teams.
