What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cyber Security Analyst Consultant (2-3 months) position at KamisPro?
Seeking a "Cyber Security Analyst" as a consultant to backfill an employee going on leave for 2-3 months. This job is essentially 100% remote, unless a major emergency/cyber attack requires
on-site visit. Therefore highly prefer candidates within 75 miles of Arlington, VA.
Prior experience in a clinical/hospital system is a plus.
Responsible for monitoring and protecting the organization's computer systems, networks, and sensitive patient data from cyber threats by identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance. Diverse product experience that includes Crowdstrike, Palo Alto, SailPoint, AdLumin Cybersecurity, 3rd party risk assessments, phishing emails, vulnerability management, etc.
- Threat assessment and vulnerability management:
- Regularly scanning for potential security risks within systems and networks, identifying vulnerabilities, and prioritizing remediation actions.
- Incident response:
- Investigating security breaches or suspicious activity, containing the issue, and coordinating with relevant teams to mitigate damage.
- Security monitoring:
- Continuously monitoring network traffic, system logs, and user activity for potential security threats.
- Access control management:
- Managing user accounts, permissions, and data access controls to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive patient information.
- Compliance management:
- Ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and other healthcare cybersecurity standards.
- Security system implementation and maintenance:
- Deploying and maintaining security tools like firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data encryption solutions.
