Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Traffic Controller to join our team on construction sites. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of traffic flow around construction zones. This position requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and the ability to communicate effectively with both workers and the public.
Responsibilities
- Direct traffic around construction sites to ensure safety for workers and pedestrians
- Monitor site conditions and adjust traffic control measures accordingly.
- Collaborate with construction teams to maintain workflow efficiency while prioritizing safety.
- Conduct regular inspections of traffic control devices to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Communicate clearly with team members and the public regarding site activities and safety protocols.
- Most of the work will be in Waldo County. Some work will be in other areas of central Maine
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and the public.
- A valid driver's license along with certification in traffic control is a plus.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
