Project Manager - Role
KAMP Automation is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager for our new Headquarters in Owatonna, Minnesota, to manage the development of turn-key automated equipment utilizing state-of-the-art robotics, machine vision, and other industrial technologies.
The Project Manager must have the ability to communicate technically and manage the details of multiple projects simultaneously. A strong desire to provide a high level of customer service and develop key customer relationships is needed.
The Project Manager will coordinate with a cross-functional team throughout the entire lifecycle of the project. They will work closely with Sales, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering and Assembly to bring systems from initial concept, through design acceptance, and finally into assembly, test, and deployment with the customer.
Responsibilities
- Become intimately familiar with the project and the customer.
- Provide project kickoff coordination, internal and with customer.
- Retrieve customer specifications and requirements.
- Generate project meeting records and actions both internally and with customer throughout project duration via Monday.com application.
- Generate project schedules for internal and external use.
- Monitor and track project schedules, staying on schedule.
- Monitor and track project costs, staying within budget.
- Coordinate design reviews.
- Generate ECO’s and obtain appropriate approvals throughout projects.
- Coordinate and conduct customer runoff and acceptance testing criteria.
- Coordinate shipping and delivery with customer.
- Conduct internal post-project lessons learned meetings.
- Generate additional opportunities with new and existing customers.
- Post Project updates and status to management.
- Bring customer feedback and/or concerns to management.
- Detailed involvement and knowledge of assigned automation projects.
- Works closely with manufacturing to supply support for machine debug and startup, reducing overall project costs and lead times.
- Continuous improvement of process and project management, focus on quality and lead time.
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering (or equivalent, e.g. Majors in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, etc.)
- 3-5 years of experience as a project manager

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
