(KOA) is the world’s largest network of privately owned campgrounds and the leader in outdoor hospitality.   KOA has 525 locations across the United States and Canada including a mix of franchised and company-owned parks.   KOA has approximately 90 employees at its corporate headquarters in Billings, Montana, and 1200 across its location.  Founded in 1962, the mission of KOA is “connecting people to the outdoors and each other,” and those who represent the brand share the values of being family-oriented, passionate, entrepreneurial, customer-focused and progressive.    REPORTS TO Manager Quality Assurance   POSITION SUMMARY As a franchisor, KOA has an obligation to review our franchise locations for quality on a yearly basis and the Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for completing those reviews in their designated geographic region and ensuring clean, safe, and quality camping experiences for guests staying on KOA campgrounds as well as performing a variety of other services that promote the development of our franchise system.   SPECIFIC DUTIES Work with franchisees in your region to develop trust and rapport. Complete a thorough physical review of facilities on all campgrounds, KOA system billboards, KOA.com, and other assigned quality assurance focus areas within your region and other designated regions within specified timeframes. Provide franchisee with a fair assessment of facilities, operations and brand positioning as outlined in the Quality Review Manual. Give examples and solutions to franchisees for areas of deficiency on campgrounds. Follow-up on critical items with franchisees via phone, email, or other correspondence as well as on-site rechecks to provide home office with pictures of corrected items. Work with campgrounds to develop facility plans to comply with KOA's brand positioning. Provide operational insights to Quality Assurance Manager to update operational checklists, best practices, and systems that can be integrated into individual franchisee operations and communicated broadly to the system. Assist in providing recommendations for franchisee renewals. Identify and recommend franchisees for assistance or awards. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Previous campground ownership, management, or Work Kamping experience, preferred (or hospitality related experience). Minimum of two years in a customer service orientated role or qualifying education in a training/support role.  Excellent people skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Highly organized and a proven ability to meet deadlines. Good computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook. Ability to develop practices and procedures. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Must have a valid driver's license. Drivers must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical. Drivers must comply with all Department of Transportation regulations as they pertain to driver qualification and road responsibilities.
