What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Kamran and Company LLC?
The Operations Manager maintains oversight of all operations in the warehouse including planning, organization and people management. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory control, lot traceability, and facilitating on-time shipments to our customers as well as the general schedule of deliveries.
- Oversee the space management and all procedures around warehouse management and inventory control
- Coordinate and manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities
- Collaborate with Sales and Purchasing to review and approve inventory restocking orders, and regularly discuss order points to maintain optimal stock levels
- Oversee the delivery schedule and ensure staff are appropriately assigned
- Manage the vehicle records and logs as well as general maintenance
- Ensure the health, safety, and security of the warehouse by upholding all relevant requirements and regulations while maintaining the facility and inventory
- Generate and distribute detailed weekly and monthly reports via NetSuite
- Maintain tight control through daily work logs and labor/billing audits
- Organize comprehensive staff training to enhance skills and empower the team
- Support other operational tasks as assigned by Leadership
Skills and Qualifications:
- GED or Highschool diploma required
- 5 years of experience as a Warehouse Manager
- Proficient working knowledge of inventory management systems and logistics best practices
- Ability to operate software and computer systems; including NetSuite and Outlook
- Strong ability to motivate, mentor and manage staff
- Ability to operate in a physically demanding warehouse environment
