We are looking for a competent Maintenance Technician with a technical background who has concrete, practical experience, and knowledge within a manufacturing facility. As a person, you are service-minded and committed, and you are natural at cooperating with others. You pride yourself on good quality, you have a very structured approach to your work, and you have a good understanding of what good production quality is. Furthermore, you will be involved in the daily operation regarding problem solving and maintenance.
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting in solving technical problems in research and development, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance. The Maintenance Technician will focus on maintaining and improving automated machinery, including but not limited to mechanical and electrical equipment such as motors, drives, electronic controls, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, and various production machines and equipment. Preventative Maintenance, documentation, and communication with the manufacturing team to improve processes will be vital, as well as the adherence to all plant and OSHA safety policies and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 1:15 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
- Support manufacturing to achieve safety, productivity and quality targets through process design and optimization projects.
- Install, modify, and repair manufacturing machines and equipment, and plant support equipment.
- Lead/Coordinate projects and work with others in a team environment.
- Diagnoses and remedies equipment problems and/or failures. Included, but not limited to building maintenance, machinery repair, welding, pipe fitting, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting electrical equipment.
- Must maintain and improve 5S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) activities.
- Follows and acts on procedures and schedules pertaining to Preventative Maintenance; maintains CMMS with records of completed activities.
- Industrial Electrical skill set for electrically controlled equipment. Base line troubleshooting using technical knowledge and software driven Machine interface.
- Industrial Pneumatics skill set for complex equipment (manipulators, actuators, electronic controlled systems).
- Industrial Hydraulics skill set.
- Participate regularly in safety meetings to evaluate the effectiveness of programs, developing and participating in improvement processes, driving adoption across the team.
- Makes recommendations and suggestions on alternative or improved techniques and/or methodologies of achieving the desired result.
- Performs other duties assigned by management.
PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical courses in Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems are preferred.
- 5 years minimum electrical and mechanical maintenance experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics required.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Teams, Word, PPT, and Excel) and CMMS systems required.
- Welding and/or electrical certification preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Outstanding English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- You must be a team player and enjoy working in a collaborative global team.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- 80-100% of your time will be spent on the manufacturing facility floor.
- Ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
