- WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR -

Kana Systems is looking for a full-stack software engineer who is hungry to grow our technologies, our company, and their career. They take pride in and value their work, and they have a drive to propel the company’s software forward.


HOW HYBRID IS THIS ROLE?

The majority of the work completed will be performed in a remote environment, however, there are a few key reasons that you might be expected to occasionally attend in-person interactions, such as:

  • Customer-specific meetings (e.g., stakeholder discussions, discovery interviews and/or observations, software development on classified networks)
  • Company culture events (e.g., holiday parties, company anniversaries)
  • In-house hackathons
  • Developer brainstorming and whiteboard sessions (~once a month)

- COMPENSATION -

  • $100K - $135K salary, based on experience.
  • Full-Time, Salaried.
  • Every other Friday off, known at Kana Systems as “Pau Hana” Fridays. We are intentional about giving the team as many 4 day weekends as possible.
  • 401(K), up to 5% company match!

  • Mostly remote team, primarily located in Nebraska.

- WHAT YOU WILL DO -

You will be helping our Solutions Team build software products by:

  • Living out Kana Systems’ culture and values with every interaction and task.
  • Demonstrating your engineering passion, initiative, innovation, and creativity.
  • Collaborating closely with developers, project managers, and designers as a key part of an autonomous, agile Product Team.
  • Diving into difficult problems and successfully delivering high quality results on schedule.
  • Writing and reviewing code.
  • Leveraging your experience to provide programming and design insights to team members.
  • Learning and incorporating the latest and greatest AI tools.
  • Developing, testing, and refining algorithms and techniques for transforming data from disparate sources into actionable insights.
  • Working with Product Team architects and engineers to develop a variety of data products in batch and real-time.


- QUALIFICATIONS -

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have at least 3 years professional full stack software engineering experience.
  • Should have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Location preference in order of priority: Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri.
  • Our Tech Stack: .NET, C#, React, MongoDB, CSS, TypeScript/JavaScript, and Git.
  • Preferred Experience: SQL, Docker, and Azure.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Nice-to-Haves: TS or Secret clearance, prior experience in defense or government, NoSQL, AI technologies, using third party APIs, building APIs, Linux, knowledge or experience with data science and/or data engineering.
