Located in beautiful southern Utah, Kanab Veterinary Hospital has an immediate opening for a full time Veterinary Technician.
Kanab Veterinary Hospital is expanding and needs happy, hard-working staff to help us grow! We are a busy full-service clinic and hospital. We treat both small and large animals. Our staff offers quality care such as wellness exams, dental services, surgery and diagnostic imaging. Located near the border of Utah and Arizona we can bring to our community and surrounding areas a high level of personal care and customer service to our clients and patients.
Our team is currently seeking a compassionate and highly motivated individual who values exceptional client service in addition to outstanding patient care. We take a collaborative approach to care, with a focus on open communication. The ideal candidate will:

Minimum Requirements:
- Two years’ experience as a veterinarian assistant/technician. (Preferred)
- Must possess proper animal handling and restraint skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old to perform duties including radiography (x-ray).
- Able to stand, walk, stop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 45 pounds.

The candidate for this position may be exposed to a variety of animals that may bite or scratch, and on occasion, exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards and medication/controlled substances.
The hours of operation for the clinic are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8 am until 5 pm. On Thursday the clinic is open from 10 am to 5 pm. This position would require some on-call nights and weekends. A technician license is preferred, but not required.
