Location: Lampe, MO
Exemption status: non-exempt—hourly
Supervisor: Facilities Manager - Lampe
The Facilities Maintenance Technicians (FMT) are central to all we do in the Facilities Department. They are responsible for all regular maintenance, project work, and some construction. The Facilities Department takes pride in the condition of our Kamps and the experiences of our Kampers. Our work sets the backdrop for the ministry to take place. FMTs should have basic maintenance and construction skills with the ability to learn new skills. FMTs should be self-motivated but should also be able and willing to take instruction from the Managers and Captains of the Kamps. A friendly and outgoing personality with good communication skills is paramount. Following safety and OSHA rules is a must.
Description Of Duties
Facilities Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the following:
Work as a member of the team under the direction of the Facilities Managers/Captains.
Perform minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment
Perform preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis
Replaces broken windows; repairs doors, door locks and other repairs throughout the facilities as needed
Completes daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
May operate a computer
May install electrical wiring and equipment, new electrical services, wiring during remodeling projects, or replace and repair wiring as needed
May repair electrical equipment and control circuits, replace faulty electrical switches, repair refrigeration equipment
May repair electrical locks and control panels to maintain building security
May fix toilets, faucets, or other plumbing-related needs
Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required
May work with landscaping including mowing, watering, installing, or repairing irrigation systems, etc.
Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall, paints building structures
May perform carpentry work on new construction
Performs outside custodial duties such as snow removal as required
Qualifications:
Must Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
Must be proficient in general maintenance trades to include, but not limited to: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, framing, etc.
Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed on assignments.
Demonstrate pride in your work. Hold high standards in craftsmanship; learn and improve in areas that are not your strength
Use problem-solving skills, exercise good judgment, and make sound decisions in performance of duties
Be a self-starter, exercising initiative but also responding well to supervision
Maintain records and files
Understand and follow written and verbal instructions
Demonstrate competent computer skills and the ability to learn new software applications
Be prompt and accountable; work hours as assigned
